Privacy policy
This page explains what we collect when you visit or buy from this shop, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how to ask us to change or delete it. We have tried to describe what the site actually does, rather than what a policy usually says.
Who we are
This shop is run by Mamma's Market LLC, a small handmade studio formed in Arizona in May 2021 and based in Tucson. It does business as "Mammas Market", which is the name you see on this site and on your order. Where this page says "we", it means Mamma's Market LLC.

The short version
- There are no shopper accounts and no password to keep. You never sign up to buy.
- There are no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording, and no third-party scripts of any kind on this site. Nobody is tracking you across the web from here.
- Your card number never reaches this site. Payment happens on a page hosted by Stripe, our payment processor.
- We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
What we collect, and why
Just browsing. Looking at the shop stores nothing about you on our side. We set no cookie for shoppers. Your cart lives in your own browser's local storage on your device, not on our server — it is sent to us only when you press checkout, and only as a list of item IDs and quantities.
Checkout. When you check out, you are handed to Stripe's own hosted payment page. We never see or store your card number, expiry date, or security code. Once a payment succeeds, Stripe tells us your name, your email address, your shipping address, the sales tax amount, and its own payment reference numbers. We store those alongside your order and the items you bought, so we can make it, ship it, and help you afterwards. We do not ask for or store your phone number.
The contact form. Your name, your email, and your message. We use it to answer you and nothing else. The message is recorded for the shop owner in the shop's own records.
The newsletter sign-up. Only your email address, so we can tell you about new pieces. Nothing else is stored with it.
Product reviews. The name you type, your star rating, and your review text. Reviews wait until the owner approves them, and approved reviews appear publicly on the product page under the name you gave. Please treat a review as a public post and leave anything private out of it.
The back-in-stock waitlist. Your email address and which piece you asked about, so we can email you once when it returns.
Asking for a remake of a sold piece. Your name, email, shipping address, and any note you write. Your card is saved with Stripe at that point but is not charged. It is only charged if the owner accepts the commission, and if she declines it, the saved card is removed from Stripe.
Spam protection. The contact form, newsletter sign-up, reviews, waitlist, remake requests and the unsubscribe page are rate-limited. To do that we store your IP address with a simple counter, so one address cannot flood those forms. It is used for nothing else, and we do not keep it beyond 7 days from when it was written.
How payment is handled
Every payment runs through Stripe. You enter your card on Stripe's page, not ours, so no card number ever touches this site or our database. Stripe also works out sales tax from your shipping address, and if you start a checkout without finishing it, Stripe may email you a link to pick it back up.
Who your information goes to
We use a handful of outside services to run the shop. Each one gets only what it needs.
- Stripe — payments. Receives your card details directly from you, plus your name, email, shipping address, and the amounts. For a remake request, Stripe also holds your saved card until the request is accepted or declined.
- Resend — sends our emails. Receives your email address, your name, your order number, what you ordered, the total, the city and state we are shipping to, your tracking number, and the text of any message you send through the contact form. Resend keeps a log of the emails it sends, including their contents, for a limited time under its own retention policy.
- Telnyx — carries text messages. The "new order" text that goes to the shop owner's own phone includes your name and the city and state on your shipping address.
- Anthropic (Claude) — helps the owner write product listings. It only ever sees the owner's own product photo, her caption for it, and the shop's list of category names. No customer information is sent to it, ever — not your name, email, address, order, review, or message.
- Cloudflare — hosts the site, the database, and the product images. As the host it handles the traffic between you and the shop, which includes your IP address.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the shop from fraud or abuse. We do not sell your information and we do not hand it to advertisers.
Cookies
The shop sets exactly one cookie, and it is not for you — it is the login session for the owner's private dashboard. If you are shopping, no cookie is set at all. There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party cookies, because there are no third-party scripts on the site.
Your cart is remembered using your browser's local storage. That stays on your device, and you can clear it from your browser whenever you like.
How long we keep things
Two things have a limit on how long we keep them, and we do not keep either one beyond the limit given below:
- The spam-protection counters — at most 7 days. The IP address stored when you use the contact form, sign up for the newsletter, leave a review, join a waitlist, ask for a remake or unsubscribe is not kept beyond 7 days from when it was written.
- Our record of emails and texts we sent — at most 90 days. Once a message has been delivered (or has permanently failed), we do not keep the record of it, including your email address and the text of the message, beyond 90 days from then. A message we are still trying to deliver is never removed while it is still being tried.
Everything else stays until someone removes it by hand: orders, reviews, newsletter sign-ups, waitlist entries and remake requests. Order records also need to be kept for tax and accounting reasons. If you want your information removed sooner, ask us and we will remove what we are able to.
Asking for your information, or asking us to delete it
Email hello@shopmammasmarket.com and tell us what you would like. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to take your review down. We may need to check that you are the person the information belongs to before we act, and we may have to keep the order and payment records that tax rules require us to keep. We also keep a short record that the request was made and carried out — the date, what was removed, and your address shortened so it can no longer be read in full. We keep that so we can show the request was honoured, and it is the one thing the deletion does not erase.
Unsubscribing. Every "it's back in stock" email we send carries an unsubscribe link. Clicking it opens a page in the shop that asks you to confirm, and confirming takes you off both the newsletter list and every back-in-stock waitlist you had joined — no sign-in, no reply to anyone, nothing else needed. You can also just email us and we will take you off. If a marketing email ever reaches you without a working unsubscribe link, please tell us; that is a fault, not a policy.
Your rights where you live
Some states give people specific legal rights over their personal information — to see it, correct it, or have it deleted. A shop this small generally falls below the size those laws apply to, so rather than quote rules that may not cover you, here is what we actually commit to: ask us for any of those things and we will do it, wherever you live, and we will tell you plainly if there is something we cannot reach.
Children
This shop is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Keeping information safe
The site is served over an encrypted connection, card details stay with Stripe rather than with us, and the shop's dashboard is password-protected so only the owner can see orders. No system is perfectly secure, so we will not promise you one — but we also do not collect more than we need in the first place.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the bottom. When a change is a significant one, we will say so here.
